Scottish Terrier

The Scottish Terrier—often called the “Scottie”—is a compact, substantial terrier developed in Scotland to go to ground after fox, badger, and vermin. Historically associated with the Aberdeen area, the breed became widely known as the Scottish Terrier in the late 1800s as type was refined and standardized.

Scotties are famous for their “multum in parvo” quality: a lot of dog in a small body. They’re confident companions with a strong sense of purpose, making them a great match for owners who enjoy terrier character and independence.
